Since my Daystar Quark is still out of action I have borrowed a 50mm Solarscope from my club, Castle Point Astronomy club.

The first image below is my first attempt with that scope. Without a Barlow lens, the image is quite small on my camera sensor, so I have used a 2x Barlow. The image is then just larger than the sensor so two images have been combined to get the whole disc.

This first attempt is not too great. I would hope to get better focus and no overexposure on the brightest features.
